What I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying for 2019 is that it will be a year of great separation and consecration for the body of Christ. God is drawing a clear line in the sand and you are either in or out. The grey area is being removed. You are either cold or hot! This will be a year of preparation for the body of Christ, He’s preparing us to STAND. Now is a time to be hidden in Him! For many, 2018 was a very difficult year full of trials and challenges. 2019 will hold great challenges as well but the Lord says Grace Grace to the mountains that stand before you in this coming year. Look at what the Lord said to Zechariah the Prophet as it is a timely word in this hour:
And the angel who talked with me came again and awakened me, like a man who is wakened out of his sleep.2 And said to me, What do you see? I said, I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with its bowl [for oil] on the top of it and its seven lamps on it, and [there are] seven pipes to each of the seven lamps which are upon the top of it.3 And there are two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl and the other upon the left side of it [feeding it continuously with oil].4 So I asked the angel who talked with me, What are these, my lord?5 Then the angel who talked with me answered me, Do you not know what these are? And I said, No, my lord.6 Then he said to me, This [addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it to yield a ceaseless supply of oil from the olive trees] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of Whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts.7 For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel [who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the temple, before him] you shall become a plain [a mere [a]molehill]! And he shall bring forth the finishing gable stone [of the new temple] with loud shoutings of the people, crying, Grace, grace to it!8 Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundations of this house; his hands shall also finish it. Then you shall know (recognize and understand) that the Lord of hosts has sent me [His messenger] to you.10 Who [with reason] despises the day of small things? For these seven shall rejoice when they see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel. [These seven] are the eyes of the Lord which run to and fro throughout the whole earth.11 Then I said to him
[the angel who talked with me]
, What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lampstand and on the left side of it?12 And a second time I said to him, What are these two olive branches which are beside the two golden tubes or spouts by which the golden oil is emptied out?13 And he answered me, Do you not know what these are? And I said, No, my lord.14 Then said he, These are the two [b]sons of oil [Joshua the high priest and Zerubbabel the prince of Judah, the two anointed ones] who stand before the Lord of the whole earth [as His anointed instruments].
There will be new grace for you to face these obstacles, battles, and wars that you face so take courage and be of good cheer. This is a year that you will see and experience great contention to see the things of God birthed but the Lord says in the midst of it His grace is sufficient. There will be grace to PUSH through the obstacles. This grace that God is extending is grace to persevere and overcome. God’s grace is not some cheap cop out but the supernatural ability of God being released in your life to move in His power and authority. Authenticate grace is being poured out upon those that fear Him. The hyper grace movement will begin to fold not being able to bear up under the pressures of this world.
I’m reminded of what Jesus said in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” What a powerful reminder! I love what Jesus say’s here. He has completely overcome the world! The word for overcome in Greek Jesus used is the word Nike, like a Nike tennis shoe. The word Nike means victory! HE is the God of all of our victories amen! So, though you face tribulations and challenges rest assured that the God of victory has completely deprived this world of any power to harm you. You will come out victorious.
Now, I want to direct your attention to a picture that we see of this in the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Many of us are familiar with the Prophet Daniel’s three Hebrew friends. What the Lord has shown me is that they are a picture of the remnant in this hour. We see in Daniel 3 that King Nebuchadnezzer was very disturbed and made a great idol of gold for all the people to worship. This, in his mind, was a great accomplishment for him and at his command, everyone must bow down and worship the idol. Those who did not would be cast into the fiery furnace.
There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the administration of the province of Babylon, namely Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. These men, O king, have disregarded you; they do not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up.”
This is where the separation comes. Only three out of thousands, maybe millions, did not bow down to the image that was set up. The separation by fire on the body will continue and INTENSIFY this year greatly. Remember that the fires were turned up seven times. This is the refining and separation of the remnant. The thing about the remnant is because they are already on fire for God, the fires of this world cannot harm them.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.
God is looking for the bold remnant to rise up in the face of adversity, challenge, and compromise, to confront the kingdom of darkness in this coming year. Isaiah 60 is a clarion call to the body of Christ, Arise and Shine! There will be confrontation with the kingdom of darkness, but we will prevail, and the glory of God will be on us.
“Arise, shine; for your light has come,
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2 “For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
The remnant will be purified and prepared in 2019 for battle! I hear the Lord saying look at the preparation, consecration, and separation of Esther. For this is a picture of my bride. As the Apostle Paul prayed, “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all (2 Corinthians 13:14).”
I pray that you have received this powerful prophetic word from one of my pastors and close friends.
